On November 22, Asia Global Institute's premier forum, AsiaGlobal Dialogue (AGD) 2024, will be held in person at The University of Hong Kong (HKU).

Themed "Fostering Global Development against Geopolitical Headwinds", AGD 2024 will explore the implications of major power geopolitics on emerging markets development, the importance of regional cooperation, good governance and digital technologies in reducing vulnerability to external shocks, and the transformative role of philanthropy in addressing global challenges such as climate change and inequality, as well as the massive finance gap for sustainable markets.

“2024 is a pivotal year with over 64 countries and about half of the global population having national elections. The outcomes of these elections will have far-reaching implications for years to come, reshaping the balance of power between and within nations. As an independent global think tank dedicated to promoting fair representation and equitable outcomes in both the discussions and decision making of policy on global economic and geopolitical issues from Asian perspectives, AGD 2024 will bring together renowned experts from various sectors to examine the implications of the changing geoeconomic landscape for emerging markets, while exploring ways to foster the development of an inclusive and sustainable world," said Professor Heiwai Tang, Director of the Asia Global Institute.
