The University of Hong Kong (HKU) welcomes the Government’s announcement today (November 20) on the promulgation of the Development Outline for the Hong Kong Park (the Park) of the Hetao Shenzhen-Hong Kong Science and Technology Innovation Co-operation Zone (Development Outline).
HKU noted that the Development Outline sets out a comprehensive development plan for the Park, which will deepen synergistic development of innovation with the Mainland, inject new impetus into Hong Kong’s development as an international I&T centre, and bring about new opportunities for the high-quality development of the Hong Kong economy. The Development Outline represents a clear and pivotal step forward in enhancing the innovation and technology ecosystem between Hong Kong and Shenzhen, actualising the strategic development direction envisaged under the National 14th Five-Year Plan.
HKU will work closely with the HKSAR Government and relevant stakeholders to support and promote the development of the Park.
